I do follow the news, and I’m trying to stay on top of things in a way that doesn’t leave me in a perpetual state of freaked out paralysis. But I don’t have much to say in response.

Keep your eyes open. Be strong. But also keep your hearts soft. Hold your loved ones close. We need to recognize our own humanity, interconnectedness, and vulnerability, even as we assert our rights and hold the line.
