Earlier, I ranted about how #Docker obliterated any sense of network foundations when they introduced their container runtime. As a case study, I want to focus on an example of the damage done, where Docker's machinations confuses and ignores the underlying implementation details of Linux bridging, such that unless one is already abreast of the kernel's capabilities, it would seem nothing short of "magic" that Docker even runs.
"Magic" cannot prevail as the basis of network fundamentals. 1/n
