When we were knee-deep in iOS 7, our clients requested app icons that fit that aesthetic. You know, symbolic icons. Flat. Few colors.
But over the years, our clients gradually started asking for more illustrative icons. I think a lot of that is because people hire us to make something that everyone else can’t make. They want something that’s unique. And when every app icon is a glyph, it’s harder to be unique.
Which is good news for us, because we love doing it.
