living outside of the US in a country that uses "dollars" sucks.
you see a website listing a product for $50. okay, is that AUD or USD? if it was a dot com dot au domain it'd be obvious, but it's "shop dot example dot com". is this american? or a local company using dot com because it's shorter? or maybe it is an american site but they sell internationally and the prices are still in AUD.
ah, ok, the website mentions medicare. that's an australian thing! ...except america also has a thing called medicare.
if australia had just used deltoids or whatever instead of dollars this wouldn't be an issue. ∆50 instead of $50. but that's the way the biscuit bifurcates
