And another thing in my Hahnemuhle sketchbook finished - this time I did just a veeeeery light underdrawing with a hard 2H pencil and painted as much of the piece with simple washes as I could.

I found this strange combination of buildings in Kichijoji, and at once this composition reminded me of Japanese stone gardens - the main tall stone, a supporting stone below it, and an "accent stone" to the side. Perfect.

The paper in this sketchbook is not good for heavy washes.
