Pet death

Oh no, Zoey, my daughter's gecko died tonight. Daughter is already asleep. Do I tell her before or after school tomorrow. If I tell her before she might be sad all day but will have friends to talk to. If I tell her after she only has us and might feel bad about having a good day. As it is, she received an award at school and was busy having fun all day. She didn't have time to feed Zoey before bed.

It wasn't her fault but survivor's guilt is a bitch.
