>A Russian asset president
Are you out of your mind? This is like the alt-right being "wE aRE cOnTroLleD bY tHE JoOz." Wake the fuck up, the United States & Russia have almost 0 aligning strategic interests on EVERY major geopolitical issue.

Just because the US is not funding Ukraine anymore doesn't mean it has sided with Russia. The war in Ukraine has always been a proxy war to pursue national expansionist interests on the US side, and to maintain Russia's influence on Ukraine on the Russian side. It was never about democracy or aligning ideologies. Read beyond the headlines for once in your life. Now it has become a war of attrition, draining both economies. Trump doesn't want a forever war (obviously) so he pulled out, now Russia and Ukraine's economies are the ones taking the massive hits (not the US) this is directly in the US national interest not Russia (or Ukraine's obviously, but that's beside the point).

The US just named a new Axis of Evil; China, Russia, Iran & DPRK. The US attacked Iran, which has strong diplomatic relations with Russia. What Russian asset would attack Iran?
