I know it's kind of an impossible choice, but if I was pressed for my favourite film ever, it would have to be 是枝裕和 Koreeda Hirokazu's 海街diary (Our Little Sister).
I rarely rewatch films, but I watch this about once a year, and I don't think there's another film quite as beautiful and life-affirming as this.
