For running Linux apps on macOS there's now this Wayland compositor that's native to Mac. The demo video features Fuzzel by @dnkl and Niri by @YaLTeRIvan Molodetskikh

Looks like the expected way to use it is to run Linux apps on a remote machine and use "waypipe" to display them natively on macOS.

It's novel in that's there's no VM involved.
