I installed i386 on a old, totally wrecked, Thinkpad iSeries 1200 with only 64MB of RAM. I had some previous experience with OpenBSD, so it was mostly painless. I'm still jealous of BSD's ifconfig(8) and especially the /etc/ifconfig.<interface_name> configuration system โค๏ธ

I'm not disappointed by the result, it still could be used as a semi dumb terminal for ssh(1). The memory usage is low because I deactivated all services but cron(8); it may be lower with a tailored kernel, but I don't mind ๐Ÿ™‚
