In light of Bluesky's revelation that they received a significant investment from Bain Capital Crypto and had kept it a secret (bsky.social/about/blog/03-19-2), we here on the fediverse should consider what we can do to address the legitimate problems that people who used to be active here and then went to Bluesky found with our platform and/or community.

I don't know what the answer is for individual users like myself.

In April 2025, Bluesky raised $100 million in Series B funding led by Bain Capital Crypto. Since our Series A, we've grown from 13 million to over 43 million global users.
