There was one year where advent of code was much more fun than usual where the theme was like "write an emulator for a made up video game console" and it happened to be a year I was solving it using a call-by-push-value scheme that I had hacked up to procrastinate writing my dissertation.

And that's how I came up with relative monads in CBPV lol (now an OOPSLA paper)
