There are old jokes about, when you walk into an empty room, saying "Computer, End Simulation" or "I know you're listening!" just in case. But just now upon entering a new space I found myself saying "Hey Google, are you listening? Alexa, are you there?" and truly, this world we have built for ourselves is haunted
