A thing I have noticed lately:

"DBT" ("Dialectical Behavior Therapy") was originally mentioned to me as a treatment modality for borderline personality disorder, specifically.

In the last few months, I have encountered people mentioning or recommending using DBT for a fairly wide range of uses, some of them involving trauma recovery, some of them not.

Did something change? Or did I misunderstand what DBT is for to begin with?
