This post describes an embarrassing medical situation. I am sharing it because my experience might be useful to others. However, it is only useful to you if you are (1) transgender or (2) have a uterus. If this is not you, then as a personal favor to me, please don't read this.

For about the last year I have had a horrible, painful, slowly escalating skin condition that mimiced pressure urcticaria (hives where clothing presses against the skin, like waistbands).
