Imagine one were to— due to the many frustrating limitations of GNOME's Wayland server, Mutter— build an independent server based on wlroots or smithay which is tweaked to support whatever special capabilities GNOME needs, as a drop-in replacement for Mutter not subject to the GNOME project's organizational rigidity.

Now, the important question is

Do you name this Shout, which is the opposite of Mutter

Or do you name it Gargamel, because it kills gnomes
