Used to January 1 was the day that I would have to go on Facebook and explain to everyone that January 1 is not my birthday, because I didn't want to tell Facebook my birthday so I entered January 1, and so if Facebook gives them a popup suggesting they wish me a happy birthday they should not do that. However, now I no longer use Facebook, or for that matter any website which requires me to disclose my birthday, so this is not a problem I have anymore.
