Alternate universe where due to a series of coincidental historical/market factors, "Devil World" was Nintendo's big international breakout hit. Shigeru Miyamoto is now working on the 35th mainline Devil World game, hates his job, and daily curses the sketchy, whimsical art decisions he locked himself into in 1984. Especially frustrating is the idea the one-eyed "Medaman" enemy transforms into (and back from) a fried egg when attacked, a concept Miyamoto has never felt made visual sense in 3D.
