These usage characteristics are fascinating and not what I expected. Wonder if the space around folks are channeling their inner Emily Dickinson—her dashes in letters were always space around bound as I recall.

This is a topic that constantly confuses me.
I mostly do no spaces, and that's because one of my friends who is smarter than me, I think, told me that it's supposed to be no spaces.
But also I don't know if I trust my memory, especially now that I look at the results of this poll.
