Tidal has this bug where occasionally when you tell it to play a song it will play a *completely different song* from somewhere completely different in its enormous library. Right now I am listening to what Tidal claims is "Music is Math" by Boards of Canada but is instead some ambient piece with muted piano over a high-timbral melange of synth pads and distorted flutes. It is absolutely gorgeous. There is basically no way for me to ever find out what that song was

If you have a fediverse account, you can quote this note from your own instance. Search https://mastodon.social/users/mcc/statuses/116120946947049403 on your instance and quote it. (Note that quoting is not supported in Mastodon.)

You are cursed: occasionally, when attempting to listen to a song, you will instead hear the most beautiful music you have ever heard, a melody that will haunt you for the rest of your days. You will never be able to learn what it is called or who composed it. You will never be able to play it again on purpose.

But just when you have convinced yourself that it must have been a hallucination, or a in dream… that is when you will hear it again.

The devil himself could never.
