@a2_4am4am ❧ okay so the conclusion i have reached from the many responses i got on this thread is

- GPT is not haunted
- UEFI partition *is* haunted
- diskmgt.msc: haunted
- diskpart.exe: not haunted¹
- gparted: not haunted

¹ Though in my experience it may ask you to do some fairly precise math.
