positive becomes overwhelmingly positive, yes, but negative becomes very positive as well

it's happened to me :) i feel like my seniors are trying to protect my job now by lying about my opinions to their seniors because the message from leadership is "stop coding and start prompting, or choose another career" with no rephrasing or coy euphemisms.
