I've added 'contribution terms' to the https://github.com/mhoye/maintenance-terms/ repository. The goal is to give developers a sign they can tap saying, if you didn't discuss this huge new thing with us before dumping it in our lap that's a your wasted effort problem, not an our review and maintenance problem.
