For those defending generative AI saying shit like “it’s just bad because evil AI companies. We need open source AI” How does open sourcing AI help with data centers destroying communities, poisoning more fresh water than 10000 people could drink, or the fact that it only exists to try to replace humans for profits of the already ultra wealthy?

How do you plan to train these things without theft? Do you honestly believe there’s enough people that would opt-in to using their data to train the torment nexus just because it’s open source? What problems do you think you are actually solving for humanity outside of shareholder profits? If reading/writing emails are is unimportant that you can’t be bothered, maybe they don’t need read/wrote at all.
