Berlin police violently targeted Palestine protesters yesterday, using force during demonstrations in the city.

Protesters say they were singled out, restrained and assaulted by officers, making clear this was not about safety or order but about suppressing pro Palestine voices.

Yesterday’s incident fits a long running pattern in Berlin.

Over the weeks and months, police have repeatedly been documented punching, kicking, grabbing, dropping and dragging Palestine protesters.

Rights groups say this behaviour is not accidental or isolated, but part of systemic targeting that resurfaces every time Palestine supporters organise a peaceful protest.

The protests are driven by Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza, where mass killing, destruction and starvation continue under Israel’s blockade.

Germany’s political, military and diplomatic support for Israel, including arms exports and near unconditional backing, has made Palestine solidarity a direct target at home, with police violence used to silence opposition to Israel’s crimes.
