i decided to try connecting my switch 2 to my composite CRT television using a cheap HDMI to composite adapter i've had for a while now. the results certainly aren't amazing, although it is pretty surreal playing a modern game on an old TV like this. i also tried playing some old games and found atari 2600 games looked fairly similar to how they looked on real console, however the black background is a lot lighter on the switch. i might try this with my VGA CRT as well, i have an HDMI to VGA converter and it usually gives much better results :P
