The "run government like a business" people always talked about what a "waste" it was teaching & learning humanities, but I've always thought about history and what it can teach me about what I'm seeing today. And for at least the last 10 years, I've been thinking a LOT about philosophy and wishing I'd taken more than a survey course in high school.
