Throwing 'shocking' videos at people - especially unexpectedly - is not going to result in activist activation in most cases.

Instead, most people are going to find this traumatizing and take steps to avoid this.

Which is going to exacerbate the frustration of the people who are concerned because "nobody cares" about the outrages

Which causes them to try shoving even more 'shocking' content in people's faces

Resulting in more avoidant behaviors

Et

fucking

cetera.

And this may be an unfortunate shock to some people,

but if you're thinking that you -have- to throw violent videos in peoples faces "so that they know what's going on"

You need therapy, because you are exhibiting a specific etiology of PTSD.

"There's no way they can understand unless they experience the same thing" is a -trauma response-

Flinging those at other people is, again, not going to make them 'care' the way you do; it is going to drive avoidant behaviors and the aforementioned vicious fucking cycle.
