people will do a PhD in computer-science just to end up creating slopped up YAML based DSL’s and talk about how AI is going to replace us all.

maybe i’m too hard on academics but as someone who has been send away from job applications for “not having a bachelors/masters degree” we gotta up our expectations a bit.
