Visited the newly opened Kinopolis Dolby Cinema in Hamburg yesterday which was fun for … reasons. The cinema itself is nice, but honestly it is a bit too clean and modern. No curtains, no red carpet. It looks like when Apple designed a movie theater. Lacking the comfortable atmosphere I normally associate with movie theaters.

But maybe I’m just spoiled by the Savoy theater in Hamburg which is the best. Not necessarily technologically, but the vibes are spot-on.

Entry to a Dolby Cinema with opened black doors and blue mood lighting, the entry hallway curves slightly to the left. It looks like entering a weird spaceship or travelling through a wormhole or something.
