Bobcat! In the backyard!

I’ve seen a lot of mutuals in northern areas posting bobcat sightings the last few days, so when the pups alerted me that something was out back, I grabbed the camera and crossed my fingers!!!

And lo - came on a Tuesday!

My gawd the light could not have been more perfect!!!

Since this morning’s big kitty has obviously delighted so many of you, here’s a lil throwback treat.

This is a very zoomed in picture of two bobcat juveniles in their first autumn from five years ago. They were playing in this tree while the matriarch had a rest in our back yard near the watering hole.

One of these could well have been this morning’s visitor!

Two bobcat kittens, maybe 6-8 months old, are having a frolic in a tree that has begun to lose its fall foliage. The sky is a cloudy grey and the kittens are lit by the morning sun struggling to shine through from the right.
