@robpike I recently rediscovered Plan9. now I am very angry at the state of Windows, macOS, and Linux. so many excellent ideas in Plan9 which have been completely ignored by other operating systems. we are still held down by text-based terminals and a default namespace where nearly everything runs and can see everything else. It is madness that the ideas in Plan9 have not caught on or evolved into greater things. Too many people are happy with what they have, instead of wanting things to be better, or something.
