The biggest effect I see from people still spending time on X—which many deny or don't even notice—is how it shifts their perception of what's normal. Such as: Actively anti-trans is speaking like a normal person Objecting to Nazi symbols turns off the working class Epstein knew a bunch of Jews etc

Imo what is happening on x is that the algorithm loves racist and anti semitic content, and the people who are on there marinate in it all day, and the epstein files has offered an excuse for even left identified people to indulge in the trangressive pleasure of public bigotry as a little treat
