The Liquid Glass effect where text and icons flip-flop between black and white based on the background color is just so incredibly janky and ill-conceived
Setting aside that the implementation seems very laggy/glitchy and regularly gets stuck in the wrong state, even in theory it can't work reliably because backgrounds can have a mix of brightness
I'm surprised they didn't go with a vibrancy effect that could react in real-time and per-pixel, but maybe they tried that and it looked even worse?
