How does one prevent scope creep on personal projects without inherent deadlines or constraints?

Not having hard guardrails present in work situations is letting my imagination fly, which is fun, but time consuming.

Maybe I need to bucket everything into “first usable version” vs “later”, or something like that. 🤔
