I think the new Apple Pro Tool Subscription is pretty cool. I need Final Cut Pro maybe 1-2x in a year, and I really hesitated to buy it.

tbh if you need the tools the whole year, you are probably a professional, and the price would be absolutely okay for you. Don't get the anti-subscription thing about it.
