if_bridge(4) on #freebsd 15 works a little different than the previous implementations. Assigning an IP address directly to the bridge interface is now the recommended thing to do. There are also pretty fine-grained ways to use and control VLANs on a bridge now. #callfortesting was where I heard about those changes first.
