Purple Heart Army veteran self-deports after nearly 50 years in the U.S.

Earlier this month, immigration authorities gave 55 year old Sae Joon Park an ultimatum: Leave voluntarily or face detention and deportation.

When 20-year-old Park finished basic training, he was deployed to Panama — unaware that he would soon be part of the 1989 U.S. invasion known as Operation Just Cause to topple Manuel Noriega's regime. Park was shot twice. #deportation #immigration #USPol #army #veteran
