I followed @stefanoStefano Marinelli 's fantastic guide: https://it-notes.dragas.net/2025/12/22/void-linux-zfs-hibernation-guide/

And installed Void Linux back on my daily driver.

I liked FreeBSD but Steam and a few other things wouldn't run. If that is sorted out later (in 15.1 or whichever) that would be cool. It was 99% there!

For now I've still got FreeBSD running on my 8th gen Intel laptop, so I still have something to use for that.

Stefano: Just one thing I would add to the guide: changing the /etc/hostname afterwards because it sets your hostname to "void-live". 👍
