Sunrise at the flooded jetty

This week I stood in icy cold water halfway up my shins waiting for a brief moment of light. This was the resulting image.

A photo taken looking down a jetty towards the centre of a lake and the opposite shoreline. The water level is so deep that the deck boards are covered by the water. The water has been smoothed over with the use of a long exposure which gives it a milky appearance. closer to the camera the deck boards are visible.

The posts of the jetty stand clear of the water and seem to converge in the distance. A sign hang from the first posts and it says that the pier is closed for repair. On the horizon a cloud is little up by the rising sun casting orange light on the water of the lake towards the camera.
