I wonder if GenAI coding will see a sharp switch back to closed source, proprietary code (trained up with its own internal models)? Why shouldn't it? Moats everywhere.

At the small end of town, the incentive to share takes a massive hit when you know your hard work will carry much diminished social value - when it's no longer clear sharing is a good thing.
