A flyer from the Monroe NY Sheriff about coyotes.

"We have been made of multiple coyote sightings in Monroe County. Typically coyotes are nocturnal, but it is not uncommon to see them during the day. Merely seeing one is NOT reason to call 911. However there are certain behaviors that are cause for alarm.
Specifically:
Coyotes carrying any product marked "ACME"
Coyotes dropping anvils from hot air balloons
Coyotes posting signs such as "detour" or "free bird seed"
Coyotes in possession of a giant magnet
Coyotes in possession of a catapult
Coyotes detonating TNT
Coyotes on roller skates with rockets attached
