My work laptop is starting to show a few signs of wear and tear, so after almost six years, I'll probably have to start preparing to ask for a replacement, so here's the question: best mid-to-high-end laptop to use with Linux? Is the answer still “the ThinkPad that costs the same as the latest Mac that a colleague ordered,” or is that outdated? Any experience with Linux-friendly brands (Tuxedo, Slimbook, etc.)? Is ARM a thing?
