@maggiejkMaggie Maybe @smallcirclesjust small circles ๐Ÿ•Š @ppdelftPiratenpartij Delft - indeed, I never use meta products... but even that's not enough.

Meta collects data on non-users through their browsing history and by using the contact upload feature of its users. When people visit websites with Meta's "Like" and "Share" buttons, or when those websites use Meta "Pixel," Meta can track their activity, even if they are not logged into Meta. Meta also accesses data from users' uploaded contacts to find out information about non-users.

@johncarlosbaez @maggiejkMaggie Maybe @smallcirclesjust small circles ๐Ÿ•Š Yes, this is a nightmare. What you can do against this is the following in no particular order:
- Complain at your local GDPR authorities
- Inform friends and family about the BigTech data abuses
- Support organizations like @noybeu , @edri @bitsoffreedom @effElectronic Frontier Foundation @amnestynlAmnesty International NL - Join a political party and speakup there (or multiple)
- Use free and opensource software
- Use an adblocker, (and a dozen other tools)
- Be a Pirate :blobcatpirate:
