Is there a good deep dive into #c64 data compression techniques online? All of them.

I have some game software I'm trying to understand and it's not clicking for me. I thought I was dealing with compiled BASIC, now I'm pretty sure it's just compressed. The software won't let me <STOP>+<RUN/RESTORE>, so I can't list it. How do I force enable that feature with VICE anyway?
