there's a certain genre of Internet Post that starts with "wouldn't it be fucked up if" and proceeds into not just the fucked up scenario, but also a truly worrying amount of detailed consequences that someone has spent probably an unhealthy amount of time thinking about this scenario to elaborate on.

Sometimes it gets extended into an entire fic series on AO3 with like 30 chapters.

And other times it becomes Final Fantasy XIV
