The big taco companies make the majority of their profits from the fillings. That's why they deliberately make it so the fillings spill out when you try to eat it. The fillings are cheap. The shell is just a LOSS LEADER to get you in the door! It's to make you pay more money for more taco fillings, so they can profit, at your expense.
