So .. why is it so hard to achieve, politically? it nets the city a few bucks but what's that compared to the quality of life it destroys, at least for a non-negligible fraction of the population, while adding no real value overall?

I was shocked when I spied one of those goddamned scrolling "in your face" ad screens that I hate so much, and that I can't bear to look at, at a tram station.

I hope it was an optical illusion*.

* I went and checked, and it wasn't. There are even some digital at bus stops near the station.
