I really like the word "faucet" by the way. Not only is it a beautiful-sounding word, it's also the best one English has for describing the thing. "Tap" can mean too many different things. And "spigot" sounds like some kind of creepy surgical fixture. "Nurse, hand me the spigot."

Also, the existence of the word "spigot" prompts me to coin an equally quaint-sounding German translation, "das Spigott".
