If the day ever comes that general-purpose computing devices can no longer run unsigned/unapproved code, we will suddenly appreciate that for over fifty years, people could write and run code for free-as-in-speech as well as free-as-in-beer. Microcomputers were both kinds of revolution in computing freedom.

My younger friends:

Do not take the right to compute for granted. it is at least as important as the right to freedom-as-in-speech.
